Claire McCaskill throws Obama under the bus over IG firing

McCaskill has good reason to be miffed.  She wrote the bill which Obama’s White House has violated.  And since he was a co-sponsor he had to know what he was doing was against the rules.

“The White House has failed to follow the proper procedure in notifying Congress as to the removal of the Inspector General for the Corporation for National and Community Service,” McCaskill said. “The legislation which was passed last year requires that the president give a reason for the removal.”

McCaskill, a key Obama ally, said that the president’s stated reason for the termination, “Loss of confidence’ is not a sufficient reason.”

She added that she was “hopeful the White House will provide a more substantive rationale, in writing, as quickly as possible.

Don’t hold your breath, Senator.

  1. Despite his other obvious shortcomings as a man and as a politician, Barkey so obvioulsy lacks any integrity at all. He fired Gerald Walpin (whom I wokred for briefly as a paralegal back in 1987 at Rosenman & Colin) a fine man by the way, because Walpin was looking into one of Obama’s buddies, the corrupt mayor of Sacramento.
