Iranians shot in cold blood….Obama goes out for ice cream

Can y0u imagine the shrieking from the Left had George W. Bush gone out for ice cream on a day when Iranians are being shot in cold blood while standing up for democracy?  Obama is giving Jimmy Carter a run for his money in the Worst President EVAH Contest.

Obama’s Statement:

The Iranian government must understand that the world is watching. We mourn each and every innocent life that is lost. We call on the Iranian government to stop all violent and unjust actions against its own people. The universal rights to assembly and free speech must be respected, and the United States stands with all who seek to exercise those rights.

As I said in Cairo, suppressing ideas never succeeds in making them go away. The Iranian people will ultimately judge the actions of their own government. If the Iranian government seeks the respect of the international community, it must respect the dignity of its own people and govern through consent, not coercion.

Martin Luther King once said – “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” I believe that. The international community believes that. And right now, we are bearing witness to the Iranian peoples’ belief in that truth, and we will continue to bear witness.

This man never passes up an opportunity to mention himself.  How often did Reagan or either Bush say “I” ?  Rarely.  They realized the office is bigger than the man.  Obama has made it clear he believes the opposite to be true about his presidency.

Yes. So Mark Steyn said yesterday:

“Among his many unique qualities, the 44th president is the first to give the impression that the job is beneath him — that he is too big and too gifted to be confined to the humdrum interests of one nation state.”

    • Can’t let a little thing like a revolution for democracy ruin his weekend plans.

      I adore Steyn.

He’s in for Rush on Monday…
