Schill Rips Coakley For Dissing Fenway Park, Taliban Comments

Curt Schilling is not happy with Martha The Ice Queen’s dig on Fenway park.

“It’s Massachusetts. You do not make sneering insults about Fenway Park. What’s she going to do next, insult the Red Sox?” wrote blogger Cassy Fiano in a post linked on Schilling’s site. “She’s apparently been trying to win the title of Worst Political Campaign Ever.”

Schilling highlighted the blog post following a Boston Globe article quoting Coakley’s response to concerns that she hasn’t been campaigning enough during the tight race.

“As opposed to standing outside Fenway Park? In the cold? Shaking hands?” Coakley was quoted saying, apparently referencing a Brown ad where he greets supporters outside Fenway.

He goes on to rip her on her statement at the debate that the Taliban is not in Afghanistan.

“Her Taliban comment is the height of one of these three: ignorance, stupidity, (or) dishonesty,” Schilling wrote. “I want someone with energy, someone that wants to change it all. She’s lock step business as usual in a way that should be frightening.”

Schill knows a thing or two about come from behind victories.

  1. I always liked Schilling. For a jock he always seemed to be a lot more intelligent and articulate then your typical gum chewing, sun seed spitting, ball player. Coakley has nothing in common with people who actually Heaven forbid enjoy going to a ballpark for 3 hours and rooting for a team. Baseball is not about equality of results which is why liberals don’t like it. Liberals believe that losing is bad for your self esteem.

Thanks for the hat tip lopstah.
