Buh Bye, Blanche

A PPP poll released today shows Blanche Lincoln getting pummeled by John Boozman 56-33.  The kicker?  Boozman hasn’t even officially entered the race.

John Boozman will enter the Arkansas Senate race this weekend as the frontrunner. He leads incumbent Blanche Lincoln by an amazing 56-33 margin in our first poll of the race.

Lincoln’s approval rating has sunk to just 27%, with 62% of voters in the state disapproving of her. She’s at a middling 51% even within her own party and just 17% of independents and 9% of Republicans are happy with how she’s doing.

What does the poll identify as the fulcrum of Lincoln’s precipitously declining numbers? You guessed it: Obamacare:

61% of voters in the state oppose the President’s plan, and among those folks Lincoln’s approval rating is just 8% with 79% of them expressing the belief that she’s too liberal. But she’s managed to antagonize a lot of the people who support the Democratic health care plan as well- 36% of them think she’s too conservative and her approval with them is just 57%. Barack Obama’s at 95% with that same group of voters.

Defy the will of the people and they will defy you.  It’s that simple.

  1. I live in California at the moment, but plan on moving back to Arkansas in a few years.

I have to say, Ms.Linocln is a great lady, and it would be with a certain amount of regret that I’d have to vote her out.

I’d vote her out based on her support of healthcare, don’t get me wrong, but she is a strong supporter of our military, and she has always fought hard for Arkansas, especially the farmers.

Ditto Mark Pryor. I’ll be there to vote him out, but he’s another pretty decent fella, all things considered.

Arkansas is the second poorest state in the union, and I think both sentaors are voting from a compassionate view point.

I just wish they’d get it through their heads that these entitlement type programs enable poverty, rather than eradicate it.
