Merry Christmas!

“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord,”  Luke 2:10-11.

Please take a moment out of your day to remember the men and women of our Armed Forces who are thousands of miles from home while we enjoy the freedoms they continue to fight for on our behalf.

  1. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Had a spare moment from caring for sick children and found my 8 year old’s school journal. She writes a quick letter to us each Friday and we are supposed to write back. Last journal entry for December (because backpacks were thrown down the cellar the last day of school before Christmas) she writes about making cards for soliders but they had to write “Happy Holidays” because the soliders don’t all celebrate Christmas. I just finished my comment and I wrote that it made me sad that public schools were afraid of Merry Christmas. I wrote that more than likely most of the soldiers celebrated Christmas and that “Happy Holidays” card were sad and pathetic, in my opinion. I suggested that they be given a list of possible holidays being celebrated and that students should design a holiday specific greeting because Happy Holidays is meaningless nowadays.

Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
